Our Story

FRO.blinds is a family-run curtain and blind specialist based in Wellington. We opened our Market Street showroom in November 2021, supported by a £7,000 grant from the Pride in the High Street scheme from Telford & Wrekin Council.

What started as a made-to-measure blinds business quickly grew into something broader. As customers began to trust us with more of their homes, we expanded into curtains, roman blinds, shutters and a wider range of soft furnishings.

As demand increased, we made a conscious decision to bring more of the process in-house. In September 2022 we opened our first manufacturing unit at Trench Lock, giving us greater control over quality, lead times and pricing. By January 2025, we had outgrown that space and moved into a larger 2,000 sq ft unit — allowing us to expand production and introduce in-house manufacturing for Roof Lantern Blinds and Perfect Fit Shutters.

In February 2023, we were awarded a further £4,000 grant through Pride in the High Street, which supported updates to the showroom and the launch of our ready-made curtain range — alongside our "tailored" service, bridging the gap between off-the-shelf and fully bespoke.

Today, the business continues to grow. The team has expanded, and we've invested heavily in our systems and technology to streamline everything from quoting and ordering through to aftercare and customer support.

Looking ahead to 2026, we have exciting plans to expand further — including increasing our manufacturing capabilities to include Urban Shutters alongside Perfect Fit, and exploring opportunities to move into a larger premises to support the next phase of the business.

We continue to work with leading names across blinds and interiors, including Fabric Box, Louvolite, Prestigious Textiles, iLiv, Ashley Wilde, Sanderson, Harlequin, William Morris, Laura Ashley, Orla Kiely and many more.

Most importantly, we've been supported every step of the way by our local community — and we're just getting started.
