We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We may collect and process:
- Identity & contact: name, postal address, email, phone numbers
- Customer communications: messages and call metadata (SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger), timestamps, delivery status, and message content you send
- Order & service data: quotations, orders, surveys, installation/visit details, photos you provide, invoices and payment status
- Website data: pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser information, cookies (see section 8)
- Support & feedback: notes added to enquiries, tickets, and follow-ups
We do not intentionally collect special category data. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information with us.
2. How we get your data
We collect data:
- Directly from you (forms, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger)
- From your use of our website (cookies and analytics, where enabled)
- From referrals where you have agreed to be contacted
- From publicly available business listings where relevant
3. Why we use your data (and legal bases)
We use your data to:
- Provide quotes and fulfil orders (including surveys, scheduling, delivery and installation) — Contract

4. Messaging and communication channels
We use a combination of systems to manage customer communication efficiently.
- WhatsApp Business (Cloud API): messages may be processed via Meta infrastructure. Outside the 24-hour service window, we may use approved templates for follow-ups or reminders
- Facebook Messenger: messages to and from our page are handled via Meta
- SMS: sent and received via TextMagic
- Calls: handled via Twilio and CallSwitchOne (including call routing and status data)
These providers process message metadata (and content where required) to deliver services.
5. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers to operate our business. These act as data processors on our behalf:
- Hosting & infrastructure: Fasthosts, Google
- CRM / service system: our internal system ("Blindsight"), hosted on our infrastructure
- Telephony: Twilio
- SMS: TextMagic
- Messaging platforms: Meta (WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger)
- Email & storage: Google Workspace
- Analytics: Google Analytics (where enabled with consent)
Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not sell personal data.
6. Data retention
We retain data only as long as necessary:
- Orders & invoices: up to 7 years
- Support messages & tickets: typically 2–3 years after last interaction
- Marketing data: until you opt out or after prolonged inactivity
- Website logs: typically 30–180 days
We may retain data longer where required for legal or regulatory reasons.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability (where applicable)
- Withdraw consent at any time (for marketing or consent-based processing)

- WhatsApp: by contacting us via WhatsApp, you agree to Meta's terms and privacy policy. Your number and message content are processed to provide support.
- Facebook Messenger: messages are processed via Meta under their terms.
- SMS & calls: your number and communication data are used to respond to enquiries and deliver services.
